MaineShare. Giving simplified. Action amplified.

Our work is rooted in two ideas:

  • Abundance: Our community has what we need to do good work.
  • Relationships: Community is about connection, building our capacity to love and care for each other.

For 30 years, we have been organizing around these two ideas:

  • Identifying, mobilizing, and leveraging financial and other resources; and
  • Pioneering participatory grantmaking models that bring people together and get money into the hands of the activists and movement leaders doing vital justice work in Maine.

Today, I am very excited to announce a transformative evolution in our work: MaineShare.

MaineShare is our new online giving platform that allows you to easily learn about and give directly to any and all of Maine Initiatives’ grantee partners. This is an expansion of MaineShare’s long-running Workplace Giving campaigns, enabling anyone to support the growing justice ecosystem in Maine, regardless of their employer.

In a world that is becoming increasingly divided, MaineShare is a bridge: connecting you with the organizations doing the work that you value so much.

Through MaineShare, you can:

  • Learn about the organizations working across the state on issues of racial justice, economic justice, immigrant flourishing, environmental justice, gender justice, and more.
  • Sort the organizations by program or focus area to see and be inspired by the organizations that are leading on the issues that matter most to you.
  • Support their work directly: make a one-time or recurring donation to fund organizations that are aligned with your values..

We all have something to give. All of us – you – have a unique and indispensable contribution to make to advancing justice and equity in our communities.

This is your invitation to be a part of change in our state. Please take a moment to visit MaineShare. Become a donor now and start making a difference.

MaineShare. Giving simplified. Action amplified.

Peace and love,

Phil
