MaineShare
MaineShare is a coalition of nearly 40 nonprofit organizations who believe that a more equitable and just Maine is worth working for every day. MaineShare supports its member organizations through individual and workplace giving campaigns, and provides shared learning opportunities and greater public awareness about their individual missions. Since 1989, MaineShare has raised over $6,800,000 in flexible, unrestricted operating funds for its member organizations.
In 2022, MaineShare was acquired by Maine Initiatives, joining our constellation of programs committed to supporting grassroots organizing and collective action. Stay tuned for news about an expanded MaineShare campaign and new opportunities to support the justice ecosystem in Maine.
Most importantly, MaineShare provides workplaces and individuals the opportunity to donate to a forward-thinking, local nonprofit coalition en masse, simultaneously bolstering their intersecting fields of economic justice, environmental justice, racial justice, gender justice, animal welfare, education, arts and culture, and health equity and safety.
